Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte is fueling the future to improve the lives of those in need


“Ensuring Every Child Reaches the Finish Line”

Yes, times have been a little tight recently. Everyone’s spending habits have changed, including the school system’s. These changes have affected so many in our community, from the very youngest to Mom and Dad. Elementary School children are stuffing their pockets at lunch time to insure they have dinner. Some live in ‘weekly’ motels, only having meals during school hours. As a community it is our duty to take care of our weakest.

 If we do not do it, then who will?

Recently, we have adopted Hidden Valley Elementary School and pledged a year long commitment to improving the lives of those in need. Over 95% of the children that attend this school qualify for free or reduced lunches. The criteria the family must meet to be eligible is living at or below the poverty line. Struggling to keep the power on, the rent paid and leaving a sick child at school because they cannot afford to lose even a hour of minimum wage pay. Here is how you can help

Donate the following items:

  • Playground Equipment
  • Non-Perishable Food Items
  • Gently Used Clothes and Shoes
  • Bath Towels
  • Toothpaste/Toothbrushes
  • Personal Hygiene: Lotion/Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Gently Used Toys (Christmas is coming)
  • Cash Donations are accepted with 100% going to help purchase educational material for the school and children
